The player end of a buzzer system, necessary for Quiz Bowl, has to be wired and able to be operated independently of a computer. Teams bringing a buzzer system that conforms to the National Academic Quiz Tournaments, LLC (NAQT) guidelines for national competition receive up to a $20 discount on their entry fee.
